Using Endnote with AGLC

1. download the output style below -  

  • click on the style to download, click Save File, OK
  • double click on the downloaded file to open the style window in EndNote (WIN), or Ctrl click (MAC)
  • click File, Save As
  • rename to UOW AGLC. Save and Close. This will add the UOW AGLC style to your EndNote Style folder on your hard drive

2. download the Reference Type table below -

  • right click and select Save Link As... to download the Reference Type table (WIN), or Ctrl click (MAC) to save file into your Endnote Style Folder on your hard drive
  • in EndNote go to Edit - Preferences (WIN), or click on EndNote X7 - Preferences (MAC)
  • click Reference Types
  • click Import
  • click on the ref type table .xml file (uow223308)
  • click Open
  • click Apply, OK. (WIN), or click Save (MAC)


3. label the references - to divide your bibliography into sections. Add the section title in the Label field for each reference:

A   Articles/Books/Reports
B   Cases
C   Legislation
D   Treaties
E   Other

  • Note: labelling the references will produce a bibliography divided into A-Z citations you have labeled as Article/Books/Reports, followed by A-Z citations you have labelled as Cases, etc. Add the Category Title (e.g. A   Articles/Books/Reports)  to the Word document.

4. now, create your Library !
