Library Call Numbers

Call numbers organise the books by subject and will help you to find them on the shelves. For more information on call numbers see the demonstration below:

The number of holds you can place is dependent on your borrower category.

 
 

Finding Books

There is more than one way to search for books in the library!

Begin your search using the Library's Catalogue Search Page

  • Use Search Guru to do a broad search to find out what the Library has on your topic. Your results will be ranked according to relevance and can be refined by selecting a tag, or limiting by date, location etc.
  • Use the UOW Library Catalogue to search for a specific author, title, call number or subject code (eg. ACCY101).
  • Choose 'More Options' for advanced keyword searching on your topic or to set limits.
 

WCA Resources at the CRC

Some relevant books for students at WCA are located at the Curriculum Resources Centre (CRC). The CRC is located in Building 22 at the Wollongong Campus, nearby the Wollongong College Australia Building. Some relevant books include:

  • Issues in Society: A series of books that provides up-to-date information on contemporary social issues.
  • English language resources: Resources on IELTS, TOEFEL and English grammar
  • High School Level Textbooks: On many topics including, Mathematics, History, Science
