Legal information and requirements for copyright regarding academic research for staff and students.

There may be times when you must include copyright notices and warnings on your copied content when distributing to your students, colleagues or advisers.

You'll find a number of relevant copyright notices below. Contact a librarian or our Copyright Officer to discuss your questions.

Place both of these notices next to computers to advise students and/or staff of their legal responsibilities set out by Regulations in the Copyright Act 1968.

You must attach this notice to all electronically transmitted works containing third-party copyright materials copied for teaching purposes (unless you have the copyright owner's permission).

The notice should be electronically attached to the course pack so that students see the notice each time they access the material.

You must complete the Copyright Declaration Form and supply it to the printer to be included on the inside cover of the course pack.

The printer will only print a course pack and the bookstore will only stock a course pack if they receive a completed Copyright Declaration Form.

You must attach this notice to any broadcast material you have electronically transmitted for educational purposes.

The notice should appear immediately before the broadcast material is aired to students.

You must attach this notice to the cover of the DVD of any broadcast material you copy for educational purposes.
