Embedding Indigenous Knowledge in your curriculum
The Review of Higher Education Access and Outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People (2012) details the importance of:
- including Indigenous Knowledge in the curriculum
- meeting the needs of Aboriginal students and communities
- including Indigenous perspectives in research
- increasing knowledge of contemporary issues that affect Aboriginal people.

Jindaola
The Jindaola program is a methodological approach to embedding Indigenous knowledge and perspectives into the UOW curriculum. It was developed by Learning, Teaching & Curriculum in consultation with local Elders and Knowledge Holders.
