Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey

What is HILDA?

HILDA is the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey – a household-based panel study which began in 2001.

The HILDA Survey was initiated and funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Social Services (formerly FaHCSIA).

How can you access HILDA?

The University of Wollongong has signed an Organisational Deed of Licence for access to the HILDA datasets, which means UOW researchers (academic staff, postgraduates) can access HILDA online, free of charge, by registering with their UOW email account at the HILDA Dataverse.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to read the Terms and Conditions for users of National Centre for Longitudinal Data datasets.
