Logging in with OpenAthens 

Logging in via web searches

On some publisher sites (e.g. IEEE) you can login via OpenAthens using your University account.

  1. Look for login options such as Institutional Login, Library Login or OpenAthens login options like those pictured below.  
  2. Select the relevant login, for example, Institutional Sign In.

        3. Select Access Through Your Institution

       4.  Search for University of Wollongong.

Using OpenAthens across different browsers and devices 

OpenAthens uses cookies to recognise your device. You will only be asked to log in again if you: 

  • switch browsers (e.g. from Firefox to Chrome)
  • switch devices, (e.g. from a laptop to a mobile)
  • clear your cookies.

For best user experience, it's recommended to regularly clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
