Stay organised and manage your research

It's important to keep track of your research and stay up to date with new research in your area.

Have I set up database alerts to keep up to date with new research in my area?

Save time by setting up alerts for database searches and journal issues. See our alerts for researchers guide.

Have I considered using a citation tool to organise my references and link with Word to produce my bibliography?

Learn more about referencing tools to help you organise and manage your references.

EndNote is a software package used to manage bibliographies and references. Our EndNote page provides instructions and videos to help you download and use EndNote.

Check the UOW Graduate Research School for workshops, seminars and training on EndNote.

Have I learnt about research data storage and management?

Good research data storage and management (RDSM) practices enable data generated in research projects to be preserved and accessed for both current and future use.

See UOW research data storage and research data management pages to learn more about options for storing and managing your research data at UOW.

Research data training is available to all UOW HDR students and researchers though Moodle. It is recommended that HDR and Honours students as well as new researchers to UOW complete this training so that they are up to date with research data at UOW.

How do I use ReDBox: UOW's data management planning tool?

ReDBox (Research Data Box) is a tool to help UOW researchers manage their research data.

Use your UOW login details to access ReDBox and create your Research Data Management Plan.

Once your RDMP is created, you can request for your data to be stored in one of the recommended storage options aligned with UOW's Research Data Management Policy.
