Finding data and research data

Understanding what data you require can help you develop an efficient and effective search strategy. Before searching for data to use in your research, it’s important to consider the following:

What information am I looking for? This could include specific inclusions and exclusions, geographic region, time period, etc.
Do I need data from a particular agency or organisation?
What file formats and reuse licences can I work with?

ACSPRI - Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Incorporated
Provides training for researchers in the social sciences research methods. It facilitates access to social science data and provides training to manipulate the data. ACSPRI members also have access to the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research.
