Subject Readings

What are Subject Readings?

Subject Readings provide essential course materials for your students. You submit a list of your necessary readings to the Library and we make the content available for your students to access online or in the Library.

All Subject Readings follow Australian copyright law.

Subject Readings can consist of things like:

  • book chapters
  • journal articles
  • websites
  • exam papers
  • videos
  • physical items.

Submit your reading list

Submit or update your Subject Readings using our online submissions form.

Your list can be ordered by essential or recommended readings, or be displayed by week. Tell us in your online submission, if you would like your readings displayed this way.

Make sure your submission includes:

  • full bibliographic citation details, OR provide your subject outline as an attachment
  • any special instructions, including readings you need removed from your list.

For course textbooks, include:

  • edition (if applicable)
  • other campus locations required (e.g. 1 x Shoalhaven, 1 x Moss Vale)

Subject Readings will be available for the start of session if:

  • your request was received no later than three weeks before the start of the session
  • items are available in the collection
  • items currently on loan are returned on time.
