Verify sources from AI

In the detailed prompt from the activity on the previous page, we asked the Gen AI to give us two additional peer reviewed articles to support our notes summary. We are now going to verify the quality of the two journals.

To check if the first journal is peer reviewed we can use the Ulrichsweb database.

Journal 1: Koh, J.H.L., Daniel, B.K. Shifting online during COVID-19: A systematic review of teaching and learning strategies and their outcomes. International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education 19, 56 (2022). https://doi.org/10.1186/s41239-022-00361-7

After searching for the journal International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education in Ulrichsweb we see the following:

In Ulrichsweb, the referee's jersey icon shows that a journal is "refereed" or peer-reviewed for quality and validity.

We will check the second journal.

Journal 2. Kasinathan, O., & Mathew, C. J. (2023). Attitude of Arts and Science college teachers towards e-learning. The Online Journal of Distance Education and e-Learning11(4).

The second journal does not appear in UlrichsWeb.

We need to do further checking to verify if it is a credible source. To do this we will need to check the Cabells database.
