Finding information

How to find information for your assessments, and how to get the most out of your sources once you've found them.

Databases

What you can learn from this page:

  • What databases are and where to find them.
  • How to search specific databases.

What are databases?

Databases contain large collections of searchable, scholarly information.

The Library subscribes to hundreds of online databases, providing access to ebooks, journals, reports, newspapers and much more.

Where can I find databases?

  1. Our A-Z databases list. You can filter by faculty/subject and type of database (e.g. primary sources, statistics, case studies).

  2. Subject guides have databases specific to your faculty along with other helpful information.

Can't find the full text of an article?

From your SEARCH results, look for PDF Full Text and EPUB Full Text links. Once you've authenticated with your UOW account, you will have access to the full article.
