LibKey Nomad is a browser extension you can add to your chosen browser. Once the extension is installed, UOW researchers, academics, staff and students will be connected to full-text scholarly articles and resources provided by UOW Library subscriptions via fast, one-click access wherever you are browsing. This can include websites such as Google Scholar, Wikipedia, and databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.
For example, when you are searching on Wikipedia and scroll down to the references section, LibKey Nomad will display links as shown in the image below. You can click on these links to view full-text or see other access options.
Another example of this can be demonstrated in a database such as PubMed when conducting a search. Below, you can see the green LibKey Nomad icon has appeared under a resource or article which indicates if a PDF is available for download.
LibKey Nomad will also pop-up at the bottom left-hand side of the screen whenever you are trying to access full-text articles through scholarly publisher's websites wherever you are – at home, or at UOW. An example of this is illustrated below:
The LibKey Nomad browser extension can be downloaded and used by current UOW Staff and students. Unfortunately, LibKey Nomad will not be available to alumni and guests due to limited access to select online databases.
