APA7 Guide

• In-text give the proper name of the software and the version number.
• Quoting and paraphrasing outputs from software or apps requires an in-text reference and a reference list entry.
• If you used a website to create something like a survey, include the website name and address in-text but an entry for it in the reference list isn't required.
• For further details refer to section 10.10 of the APA 7th Edition Publication Manual.
• Unless expressly permitted to do so, you must not use work or text generated by an artificial intelligence (AI) tool. If you are permitted to use an AI tool for this purpose, you must include proper acknowledgement. Until formal guidelines are in place, please use the software and apps referencing and citing conventions to acknowledge such use of an AI tool.
